Make a difference in ONE life!

2011 Gifts of Purpose from Lifesong for Orphans on Vimeo.

It's that time of year again. Holiday music rings through your speaker systems. Decorations light up your street corners. Families gather together. It's the season of love, joy and family.

As we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ during this season of giving, we often forget to give to those who NEED it most!

This year give differently. Give FAMILYto the 147 million orphans worldwide who dream of belonging. Give HOPE to children living on the streets whose only Christmas wish is survival.

What if, this year, your family gave a gift to those who need it most? A gift that won't fit under the tree?

Would you consider making a difference in ONE LIFE...

  •  Help a child break free from gripping poverty.
  •  Give the love of Jesus through Christian mentors.
  •  Give a future to an orphan's caregiver.

This year join Lifesong for Orphans in giving a gift with purpose. A gift that will speak Jesus to a child.

Introducing...

Give Purpose. Bring Joy.

Are You Willing? -- Lifesong India

Listen in as Bob Stoll, Lifesong India shares an experience from his time overseas...

I was a guest in a leper colony for a week. I watched as the clinic doctor worked on the ulcerated hands and feet of the lepers. Most had no fingers and toes. They are injured, burned and infected without knowledge because leprosy robs extremeties of the gift of pain.

11Nov IndI stood and watched a woman as she struggled to latch her sandal.

She finally succeeded. The Lord chastened me for not helping her. It occurred to me that I didn't love her enough to even offer my help. Despite my regret, the opportunity was gone. Conviction made it's home in my heart for the rest of my stay at the colony. I hated myself.

But God redeemed my error in a beautiful way.

On the day I left, the doctor assembled the lepers. They sat on the grund under a thatched canopy as I spoke to them from the Bible. When I finished, my friend brought twelve lepers up front, provided me with a towel and besin of water and said "wash their feet". I had not told him of my experience. How did he know I needed to redeem my error? I thanked and praised God for the opportunity and practically dove into the water as I proceeded to wash twenty-four leprous feet.

Since then God has presented me with multiple opportunities to show love to to the unlovely. Sometimes I fail. Will I ever learn? Lord help me...

-Bob Stoll, Lifesong India

...A man with leprosy came and knelt in front of Jesus, begging to be healed. 'If you are willing, you can heal me and make me clean,' he said. Moved with compassion, Jesus reached out, touched him and said, 'I am willing.'

What would it feel like if your favorite professional football team, basketball team, and baseball team, as well as your college team….all won their respective championships…on the same day!!  Take a minute, close your eyes, and imagine that.

That’s how I feel with Both Hands hitting all these milestones in one month. If you’re reading this, you were one of the many who helped make it happen and I’m so grateful for your obedience.  Too many to name…over 3,000!...just stand with me in awe of the King!

“It really was a great experience as we were able to share God's love for this really needy woman.  I am so amazed at all that God has done during our adoption process, including the Both Hands project....

...Because we chose to answer God's call to adopt, He has also given us the opportunity to minister to other people, including Louise, who we might otherwise, not have met.  We serve a really BIG God and I'm so glad He can see the BIG picture because mine is definitely too narrow."

Next Generation Leaders - Lifesong Ukraine

Please enjoy this update from Lifesong Ukraine director, Denis Poshelok:

We trust our Father everything is well with you and your families. There are many challenges in the work we do but there is confidence that He will provide all we need to be successful in this ministry. Please pray for our country!

It’s been very exciting to see three orphans, graduates Sergei Poshelok, Andrei, and Ruslan, plant a landscaping nursery/business on the property.

We have planted about 2,000 plants of 18 different varieties of evergreens total. It is located on 2/3 of an acre of our camp land. Our boys did a great job and we all are prayerful for the good growth of the plants and success of this small business initiative.

This initiative means a lot for them and brings them hope for the future. This nursery provides not only growing opportunities for the plants and potential profit, but it provides a brighter future for our orphanage graduates.  Developing next generation leaders!

Orphans Lifesong has served are now mentoring, loving & encouraging other orphans…

“It is incredible to see orphan graduates invest in volunteers. Two of these kids are graduates from Sakhnovschina, Andrei and Ruslan. Without Lifesong, would they have heard the gospel, would they now be serving God, sharing the gospel?

Alexei, Natasha, Tatyana, Galya, Oksana, Vitalek, Luda. Andrei, Ruslan and so many more!!!”
