Was he a child when the patches first appear on his skin?
Perhaps his parens were wealthy or poor. Was he an illiterate poor farmer or was he a schoolteacher, a doctor, or a merchant?
It wouldn't have mattered. He would've been forced to leave his village and his family...leaving his wife and children."
Lifesong-India has the privilege and opportunity to love him, help meet some of his basic needs today...

Orphans Deserve Better is a grassroots initiative to counter the movie Orphan. Join us in taking the side of those who cannot speak for themselves.
However far-fetched some stories are, they can still subtly shape our values and perceptions. So when a major motion picture leaves a lingering impression that orphans are damaged goods and that adoption can tear apart your life, those who know the deeper truth must speak up.

Dear Lifesong,
Thank you again for your generous grant. We we brought Bryson home on May 24th. We are thrilled! Bryson is doing great and fits in perfectly with our family.You can pray for us, we are very busy parents with a 4 month old a 1 yr. old :)

You've probably heard the often quoted Bible verse that refers to orphans - James 1:27
"pure religion... is to visit the widows and orphans in their distress..."
We often talk about the "orphan" side of that verse, but less frequently address the "widow" side of that verse.
A friend of mine, JT Olson, recently developed a creative way to help BOTH the orphan & the widow.
Both Hands Foundation helps adoptive families raise money to fund an adoption at the same time as renovating a widow's home - awesome concept!
