It's more than just a package of crackers

Jill and I showed this video to our kids yesterday and they are still talking about it.

Honestly...Jill and I are still talking about it too...

What "package of crackers" do YOU have that can bring life back to someone?

I believe this video has moved us to become more doers of the Word, and not just hearers only...

"Oh, Yvonne, that was just heartbreaking. How can you not love those children? Thank you so much for posting the link."

God is amazing how this is now the 2nd occurrance in the last two days that this video has been placed before my eyes. This reality is something that many Christian's with a heart and passion for the orphan need to digest and experience for themselves to be motivated to vindicate God's children who desperately need hope....and more packaged of crackers. Angie and I were just speaking last night about God's call for us to provide a means for our youth to experience this through missions and enable them with scholarships to go. What a change it will do within them. I wish I would have had that opportunity! Thanks fo sharing Andy!

I am so still right now....
I have been sitting in front of the computer....just still.... overwhelemed but still....
I still can't put words to it!
I hear my two youngest kids talking in their beds and then my eyes go back to the computer.
Wow! I sit... and I am still.... hearing Sam and Esther groan,
seeing their sister serving as we have ALL been called to do.
and to know that there are millions more laying waiting...and dying TODAY!
These stories must be told....but then we must ACT!
....we MUST serve as He has called us! To fead a hungry neighbor and give shelter to the poor. To serve as their sister served them!
Thanks Andy!

@Redington, @mom, @joe,

You are all right - may it move us to ACT, whether youth or well-seasoned:)....

and the challenge for us to act while still bringing the gospel of Jesus Christ WITH the package of crackers. Sometimes we Christians just bring the crackers, or just bring the gospel message... may we bring BOTH each time we act!

I posted this on my blog a few days ago....it really is heart breaking. There is so much need in the world today, it is hard to digest all that we have and the so little that they have.

@ Danae

yeah - we are still "rich" in America when the stock market is at 8,000 points...our fridge is full...we are getting pizza tonight for dinner, etc...

I doubt Sam & Esther even care what the stock market is at today...

Check out this email I just got from Heather, after she showed this video to her son Wyatt

------------------

Hey Andy!
I just showed the video to Wyatt and he had tears in his eyes. Then at the end he just started to weep in my arms. This is our little guy that could not even express his pain when we first got him when his appendix ruptured! He keep on saying I love you mommy and I'm glad I have you. I told him that adoption is God's heart and how adoption is forever!

It touched such a DEEP spot in his heart. Then he said maybe we can adopt more kids and Zia. That was such a miracle I saw in my son's heart and eyes. Then when I gave him oatmeal for breakfast he said, "mom, that's a lot of food." He has never said that!

So thanks for being willing to serve the least of them! Thanks for helping others see first hand the miracle of adoption!..

Heather and family

Andy, Words cannot describe what I felt when I saw that video. It was a much needed taste of reality of how terribly spoiled we are in this country. So many are just trying to survive and not even doing that. I am ashamed and repenting for my selfishness.

Thanks for a much needed reminder of what our purpose is here on earth and help us to give all the more to help those in need. I pray that I can open my hands and heart even more during these times when the world is getting more and more needy. Love you! Mom Bauer
