Family Friday: Steve & Kim

We have been blessed to partner in fundraising with Steve & Kim as they brought home their precious daughter Charis from Zambia. Listen in as they share some of their journey...

As we walked through the adoption process, we were grateful for the people who approached us asking if they could help. Lifesong became an invaluable partner for us, establishing an avenue for our friends and family to surrounded and support us in our mission to bring home our wonderful daughter.

We were impressed by the responsiveness and the flexibility Lifesong offered. Once we got the clearance to travel, things moved quickly. Lifesong responding by dispersing monies very quickly. Zambia is not like adopting from other countries. The staff at Lifesong were great to work with because they were willing to adapt procedures to match the uniqueness of the process.

Adopting Charis was the most amazingly wonderful and painful experience all wrapped up into one. The process was a mess. Yet, through it, we constantly saw God’s timing and perfect plan from lodging to “just happening” to meet the one person who could get a document processed quickly.

We praise God for his protection and provision.

Thank you Steve & Kim for partnering with Lifesong--it was our JOY to be just a small part of this incredible journey that God led you on. We commit you and your family to God in prayer...that He would continue to show Himself to each of your hearts and that your family could be a picture of the gospel to those you meet.

Exceedingly Abundantly Above - Impact Zambia Recap

Wow. Humbled. Thankful. Joyful.

God is so good. So faithful to take care of His own.

This is how I feel after looking back on the 10 day Impact Zambia 100 campaign and seeing the provision of our Father God and how much He loves and cares for His own!

Despite a start that seemed a little slow to human standards, God, in His perfect timing, brought in 50 commitments on the last day to bring us OVER our goal at 115 commitments!  It was obvious how little this was about us and how much it was about HIM.

Together, this team raised $27,600! With the generous match, you helped bring in over $55,000 to build classrooms for our High School students in Zambia. Praise God! It’s amazing to see how much more we can do together!

Thank you Lifesong advocates for PRAYING, SUPPORTING, ADVOCATING, and GIVING for the 253 students at Lifesong Zambia. Especially these 7th graders who will be moving into new high school classrooms this fall!

"Now to HIM who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to HIM be glory in the church by CHRIST JESUS to all generations, forever and ever. Amen."

Last Day! Hear Lyness' story & Impact Zambia!

***Impact Zambia update: 70 commitments!!! Only 30 more to go by today!!

Will you consider impacting a life like Lyness?

Lyness is just ONE of the twenty-two 7th grade students at Lifesong Zambia. Like Lyness, each student has their own story, their own past, and their own hurts. Because of the opportunity to attend the Lifesong School, each student now has the chance to find HOPE as they hear the gospel of Jesus Christ while receiving a quality education from the Lifesong Staff.

They are receiving HOPE in a way that many of them have never experienced before. A hope that never dies.

Grade 7 students

It is our desire to build High School classrooms for these 22 students by the fall school year. Not only to see them through graduation, but to invest in the rest of their lives as they grown into young men and women for Christ, breaking the cycle of poverty & unemployment.

Thankfully, in lieu of this expansion, a donor has generously offered to MATCH dollar-for-dollar the funds raised! The time to give is now!

We have 1 day left of the Impact Zambia 100 campaign. We are still praying for 30 people to support students like Lyness.

Will you consider joining Lifesong Zambia in changing lives for Christ?

Allen, Martin & David - Impacted by Lifesong Zambia

***Impact Zambia 100 Update: 56 commitments...2 days to go!

Meet three of our students at Lifesong Zambia...

Alan...both of his parents have died.

Martin...he was beaten & abused by his step-father and mother

David...he was severly neglected by his mother

Now meet foster parents Rosemary & Nicodemus...parents to 5 children of their own, 2 children from family members, and now to these 3 young men! Wow! They are an amazing Godly family who are giving FAMILY to these hurting boys and sharing the love of Jesus with them

Because these young men go to Lifesong school, the staff was aware of the issues that were going on at home and were able to take action and direct them into a loving Zambian family. Praise God for the loving staff at Lifesong Zambia and for Rosemary & Nicodemus!

All three of these young men will be transitioning into High School soon...as you know, we have a building project plan to build new classroons and need YOUR help! Not only do we have a plan, but a donor that is willing to match the funds raised!!

2 days left of the Impact Zambia 100 campaign & 44 commitments to go!  We are SO thankful to those of you who are sacrificing for our kids in Zambia and those of you who are actively advocating on behalf of kids like Allen, Martin & David.

Impact Bwalya Bwalya & have your gift MATCHED!

***Impact Zambia Update: 30 commitments...4 days to go. Needing 70 more Impacters!

Impact children like Bwalya Bwayla & have your gift MATCHED!!

As you saw in the video, Bwalya Bwalya became a double orphan because of HIV/Aids when he was only five years and now he, too, is HIV+.  Thankfully, Bwalya Bwalya lives with his grandparents and is able to attend the Lifesong Zambia School. Despite his uncertain past, he has a hopeful future because of the presence of Christ in his life and the opportunity to receive an education.

We have launched an Impact Zambia 100 campaign that will help build a high school for Bwalya Bwayla and other children in similar life situations.  We are nearly 1/3 of the way there and have only 4 days left.

We are looking for 100 people to make a monthly commitment of $20 for one year to help complete this building project.

MATCHING GIFT OPPORTUNITY!

(that's right--gifts will be matched dollar-for-dollar thanks to a generous donor!)

Sixty-seven cents a day from 100 people for a year can make this vision a reality for children like Bwalya Bwalya.

4 days left 70 people to go...Will you join us?
