Benefit for Orphans with Special Needs

Grace Haven Ministries is hosting their 1st Annual Benefit Dinner & Silent Auction Sunday, March 14, at 5-8pm in Bentonville, AR.

Grace Haven Ministries' two-tiered mission strives to advocate for the orphan along with addressing the healing and restoration needs for adoptive families through prayer, encouragement, and fundraising as well as partnering with Lifesong for Orphans in caring for our orphans with special needs in Ukraine.

Ukraine | The least of these...

Lifesong Ukraine has been actively involved in reaching the fatherless and has taken the additional step to also touch orphans with special needs (SN). Unfortunately, these children and young adults tend to be tucked away from society in remote orphanages, hospitals & villages specifically designated for SN, which keeps these children out-of-sight & out-of-mind…But never out of the mind of our Father, who is Father of all!  

The Lifesong team in Ukraine is showing the love of Christ to SN orphanages twice a week for Constant Christian Presence (CCP) and crafts, arts, sports, etc.  Additionally, weekly trips are made to kids with SN who are under short-term hospital care.

10 kids in a VW Bug?

Meet Lilya and Voloday.

They are parents of 10 children (5 biological, 5 adopted...one with HIV).

This Ukrainian family (yes, all 12) drive to work, school, church, etc in a car similar to the size of a VW Bug.

Lifesong Ukraine is looking to raise funds for this family who has been obedient to the call of our Father: to love and care for the orphans.   Because of their faithfulness to this calling, locally they expect to raise $10,000 to cover half of the cost of a 8-10 passanger van.

Lifesong Ukraine Orphan Choir

A special update from Denis, the Lifesong Ukraine director -

As you know 5 years ago we have started an orphan choir at Loubetin orphanage. Many kids went through a special music training and were taught on how to praise our Saviour through music. It included both individual and group lessons. Our choir visited many churches in our area as well as in other cities of Ukraine. Also, it did participated in numerous contests and festivals both in Kharkov and many other places in our country. Our choir – ‘Love and Hope’ did receive special award of our Governor and diploma of UA Parliament. We are very thankful to have such tool to share our goals with other believers and motivate them to be involved in this ministry. It has been a great testimony of many State level officials and other orphanage directors where they heard our choir praising the Lord.”
