Adding Fun into School Days - Lifesong Liberia

We invite you to share a word of encouragement to our staff at Lifesong Liberia. To do so, please comment on the blog or on our Facebook wall and it will be forwarded to our staff. Thank you in advance for your kind words of support!

Keith & Kay Knapp, Lifesong Liberia liaisons, share updates from Liberia:

"Thanks to a grant from RetailROI, the kids at the Master's Homes of Champions have something new to do.  You can hear laughter and squeals of joy as the jungle gyms, sliding boards, swings and teeter-totters are filled with children.  The residents of the homes, as well as school children from surrounding communities, are having a great time enjoying their new equipment.

School began again this month, and all 86 of our children received new uniforms.  Another exciting development is that we will begin some instruction in computers at the Rehab location.  Our schools are full, as many families from the communities are sending their children, and placing a high value on education.  We are thankful for this opportunity to bless others.  Please pray that the students would be attentive and diligent in their studies.

We extend our gratitude for your faithful support of the work in Liberia!"

Summit VIII - LIVE Webstream Available!

Can't make it to SummitVIII this year?

For the first time ever, Summit’s plenary sessions and certain other special features will be web streamed live on May 3 and 4!

Admittedly, there’d be no way to capture the full in-person experience online (and aren’t able to offer the closing night concert with Steven Curtis Chapman).  But the webstream will still provide a meaningful window for your friends and other advocates into some of the rich content that you’ll be encountering firsthand at Summit VIII.

You may also want to invite your pastor and church staff to join online Friday, May 4, for the Pastor’s Track workshops with Rick Warren, Dr. Russell Moore and Alex Kennedy.

Impact Winfridah - Lifesong Zambia

***Impact Zambia 100 update: We've had 51 people commit! 49 people with 3 days left!

Hi. My name is Winfridah. I am in grade 7. I live with my mother. I also have 4 sisters and 3 brothers who live with me. One of my sisters also attends Lifesong. She is in grade 2, her name is Mary. My mom works as a security guard. My father died when I was about 7 years old. Thank you for helping us.

Inviting you to help the IMPACT in Zambia! We are building new classrooms for a High School for children like Winfridah.

As many of our blog followers know, we are asking for 100 people to give $20/month for 1 year! And your gift will be MATCHED!

Yesterday, we had 19 people join the Impact!  Praying that God will continue to provide through His people..through YOU!

We only have 3 days left with 49 people to go!

Will you join the Impact?

$20/month for 22 students...

**Impact Zambia 100 update:

Here are the 22 grade 7 students at the Lifesong Zambia School. These students will be moving to High School next year.  As of now, we don't have space for them. Knowing each of them, we desire to finish what we started and see these 22 students through graduation to set them on a path to break the cycle of poverty so many of them were born into.

Will you consider partnering with us to send these 22 students to High School?

We are asking for a monthly commitment of $20 for one year.

Twenty dollars.

 - eating at the new restaurant down the street...

 - the new DVD that just came out...

 - 4 or 5 of your monthly Starbucks ...

 - the cute little cardigan you've been eyeing...

I won't lie...this commitment will require sacrifice. But trust me. The sacrifce is always worth the reward.

What are you willing to sacrifice for these 22 grade 7 students?

Our goal is 100 people. $20 a month. One year commitment. A commitment that will be MATCHED dollar for dollar!

We have 27 commitments and 73 to go...we need YOUR help!

To help bring JOY and PURPOSE to these grade 7 students, email info@lifesongfororphans.org.
